Project Dates:

2021

This project sought and understanding of current problems and concerns within the primary care sector around the NSU cancer screening programmes through detailed analysis of interviews with primary care participants.

What do we want clinicians to do?
  • Have a conversation with priority group patients who have not completed bowel screening.
  • Use the desk top trifold to guide the conversation.

Opportunistic conversations:
  • GPs and practice nurses will be encouraged to initiate discussions about bowel screening during consultations to support informed decision-making.
